I got word this morningthat the Seller intends to accept our offer. While this isn't an ironclad committment, it was enough for both my broker and his to start getting excited. In fact the listing broker wanted to schedule sea trial and survey for this Saturday!
Needless to say, that isn't going to work... my broker has to be out of town from this Thursday until the following Monday. My surveyor is a busy man, as well, and already has work booked weeks in advance. He did, however, tell me he could do it a week from Wednesday. That's a little better, in that it gives me more time to prepare for yet another trip to Florida (*#@^%!@%!), and my broker will be back in town.
Here's a picture of the boat:
I've set up the sea trial, survey and haul-out for May 13th at Seven Seas, which is a couple of miles south of where the boat lies. They take plastic, so it'll be relatively painless.
On the other hand, making all these arrangements without a final, formal agreement leaves me a little lacking in the serenity department. My broker assures me, however, that we'll have a signed agreement tomorrow evening. Maybe then I can breathe a little easier.
